World Series 2014...Yeah, 'my' Team Won!!!

Well, I said it at the start of the World Series but they didn't listen!  Both Aaron and Andy were rooting for the Royals to take the title but I had a feeling the Giants would be on top again this year.  I remember watching the Series back in 2012...and I was in awe when watching Lincecum pitch.  This year it was another great pitcher...Bumgarner.

All the games were really exciting to watch and even though the final game was a nail-biting one...especially in the last inning, I have to admit that my favourite was Game 5 when he pitched the entire game and no runs were scored!  Wow, 117 pitches in 9 full innings, and he's only 25 years old!

There's so much talk about him going down in history...pitching 21 total innings in the World Series and only letting in 1 run.  Reading all the remarks about how the other teams are scared of him takes me right back to Aaron's season with the Cardinals this year...and all the names he's earned from other teams and parents.  At one tryout, a few parents recognized him and told us that they didn't know his name so they called him the 'side-armer'.  One parent said her son hates batting, especially when Aaron is pitching.

Congratulations to the Giants on their win...and to the Royals for putting up a good fight.  It takes 2 amazing teams to make it this far.

Amazing!

Ok, my team won and Baseball Season is officially over for 2014...I can sleep now!
