DISCLAIMER: I am not a writer or critic, just an everyday mom who really loves baseball...especially when my kids are on the field!!!

My blog was created to track my children's special moments on the field and their experience(s) with their respective teams. It is written through a mother's eyes. The intent is solely for the purpose of reliving the game(s) during post season. From my experience, there will be some bad plays / unfortunate incidents, and these may be recorded in order to follow the game(s). There will also be times when I will have questions or doubts...but these are MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION(S).

I apologize in advance if I do, but I do not intend to criticize any player, or coach...I SIMPLY CALL IT AS I SEE IT!!!

Groundhog Day...

It's very ironic that today is Groundhog Day but it is also the day we got the most snow for the Season, here in Toronto!  How can we expect the poor little groundhogs to predict anything when most of us are still trying to dig ourselves out from under all this snow!  We were lucky so far in terms of the amount of snow that fell, but not so lucky as there were quite a few COLD days, with extreme cold alerts being issued.

School buses got cancelled but not school and shortly after I dropped Aaron off to school, he called me to say all his classes got cancelled!  Practice tonight also got cancelled because there were no permits for the school gym that they normally use.  I guess he gets another relaxing day today...lucky kid!  Me, I had to fend for myself on the roads.  It's one of those drives where you keep both hands on the steering wheel.

Andy mentioned that there were some tournaments already posted on the Team's shared site but I hadn't checked before.  I decided to look today and was surprised to see that there were 6 weekend tournaments posted.  It's going to be a very busy Summer!!!

This Mommy can hardly wait for the games to begin.  I will think about all the hot Summer days and all the excitement at the games ahead while I am driving through the snowy roads this evening!  It was a such a mess this morning with all the snow and no ploughs in sight.  I had to slip my Jeep into 4x4 just to get out of my street this morning.  Hopefully it's a bit better for the drive home.  Hope everyone stays safe.
