Mississauga South Tournament...June 26-28, 2015

Where does the time go...today our baby boy celebrates his Sweet Sixteen birthday!

Game 1 - Tigers vs. Kitchener Panthers

We would have loved to celebrate his Sweet Sixteen differently but the first game of the tournament was tonight.  We were able to have a nice lunch at Red Lobster and have a mini celebration earlier today.  For tonight's game the boys were facing the Kitchener Panthers for a 6:00 p.m. game.  We had to be on the field at 5:00 p.m. for the boys to warm up.

HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN, AARON!
Ariana made it her business to find her brother on the field and wish him a happy birthday at exactly 5:37 p.m. (the time he was born)!
Wishing her brother a happy birthday!
Today was a nice day with lots of sunshine but there is already a cold breeze blowing now...but still much better than what's expected for tomorrow.  According to the weather channel, we're expecting a major storm tomorrow!

The Tigers take the field as the game began, with # 19 on the mound and Aaron covering second base.  The first batter hits in left field and is safe on first; the second batter hits and is also safe on first; the third hits and is safe...and the bases are loaded!  Batter number four strikes out; the fifth hits to third and 2 runs are scored.  The thrown is made to first and it looked good but the Umpire called the runner safe.  The sixth batter hits and is out at first.  The runner on second is tagged out but the Umpire calls him safe!  The final batter hits and is out at first.
Covering Second!

The boys go up to bat and it was a quick 3 up 3 down when our first batter hits...and breaks his bat...and is out at first; the second strikes out and the third hits...right to the pitcher, and he's out at first!

Top of the second and the Panthers' first batter hits and is out at first; the second hits and is safe on first and the next two both strike out.

Bottom of the second was another quick one for us with all 3 batters hitting but all out at first.

The Panthers' are up again and the first batter hits and is safe on first; the second strikes out; the third hits a triple and 1 run is scored; the fourth hits and is out at first, but another run is scored and the fifth strikes out.

Aaron goes up to start us off for the bottom of the third.  He hits the very first pitch but they were able to thrown him out at first.  Our second batter strikes out and the third hits the ball right into the gloves of the short stop!  Oh man, these boys are dropping like flies!!!

Top of the fourth and the first batter hits one right towards Aaron, and he's out at first; the second walks; the third hits and is safe but the runner is out at third; the fourth walks and the fifth hits but it's caught.

Another quick one for us in the bottom of the fourth as our first two batters both strike out and the third hits but is out at first!

We're already in the fifth inning and it's only 7:00 p.m.!  The Panthers' first batter walks; the second hits and is safe on first but the runner at second is out; the third hits and is safe but the runner is out at second and the fourth hits but is out at first.

Bottom of the fifth and our first batter goes up and hits a foul, which hits the batter on deck (and it's a nasty hit to the face)!  The batter hits another one but is out at first; the second hits and is safe...and this is the first Tiger on base tonight!  The third batter hits but he's out at first; the fourth hits but is also out at first.  I missed the last out but the inning ended with no runs and our player is left in scoring position!

Top of the sixth and # 23 is now on the mound.  Aaron is still covering second base.  The first batter hits right towards the pitcher and he's out; the second hits and Aaron couldn't get the ball in time to get the out because the ball bounced and hit him!  The third batter hits and it's caught in left field.  The fourth batter is up and is left there as our catcher throws out the runner going to second.
Good job boys!
Aaron is starting off the sixth inning and after fouling a few, he hits a nice one just behind second base...but it's caught!  Our second batter hits and is safe on first; the third hits and it's caught; the fourth walks; the fifth gets strike 3 but the catcher drops the ball and couldn't get it in time to throw him out so he's safe on first...and 1 run is finally scored for us!  The sixth batter hits and is safe but our runner to second suddenly falls, and is tagged out.  He was on the ground for some time before they coaches carried him off the field.  Apparently he twisted his ankle while running.
Yep, it's gone...but it's caught!
Seventh and final inning.  The Panthers' first batter gets hit with a foul and he walks!  The second batter hits and is out at first; the third hits in centre field and our defence couldn't get the ball...so he's safe on second and 1 run is scored!  The fourth batter walks; the fifth hits towards Aaron and is out at first; the sixth hits in centre field and again our defence can't get the ball so he's safe on first but another run comes in!  The seventh batter hits in centre field and our defence misses the catch...another run is scored and the batter is safe!  The eight batter hits but is out at first.

That's 7 runs total for the Panthers and we just have this final inning to desperately get some runs in!  The Panthers sends in a new pitcher and our first batter hits and is safe; the second and third both hit but out at first; the fourth walks; the fifth hits and it drops...and we get another run!  Now it's up to Birthday Boy, who goes up and hits, and is safe on first but the runner is out at second...and the game is over!

Game 2 - Tigers vs. Thornhill Reds

Saturday morning and we're back out on the fields bright and early at 9:00 a.m. for our second game.

MORE GAME HIGHLIGHTS COMING SOON!

Game 12...Tigers vs. Niagara Falls - June 25, 2015

Tonight the boys travelled to Oaks Park in Niagara Falls to have a second shot at the Falcons.  Although we were told Aaron won't be pitching tonight, Coach Doug wanted him in the bullpen a bit earlier so go over some techniques with his curve ball.

Since he's not pitching and it's the same team from last night, I decided not to go to the game so that I can get my baking done.  Tomorrow he's turns Sweet Sixteen and the boys have a weekend tournament, so I wanted to make his birthday cake and make some treats for the team!

As suspected I didn't get any photos but I called Andy during the game to see how it was going.  Is it any surprise that he missed most of the game to go with one of the other dads to the Casino!  The score was already 2-1, for us and it was the 6th inning already.

The Tigers left Niagara Falls with another win...and just in time for the tournament!

My night was also a very successful one!
He always says,
'Mom when I get my license I am taking your Jeep',
and it was my inspiration for his cake this year!

Game 11...Tigers vs. Niagara Falls - June 24, 2015

Tonight the boys are facing off with the Niagara Falls Falcons at our home park in Mississauga.  The game was scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. so we dropped Aaron off at 7:30 p.m. and went to run a few errands in the area.

When we got back to the field it was 8:40 p.m. and we could see the boys walking off the field.  The Falcons went up to bat first and didn't score any runs.  Aaron was on the bench and # 34 was walking off the mound.

Bottom of the first and our first batter hits and is safe on first; the second strikes out; the third walks; the fourth hits and is safe on first...1 run is scored but a runner is out at third.  The fifth batter went up to bat but the runner on base decides to steal and is thrown out at third to end the inning.

Aaron told Andy he was the designated hitter for the night.  We both laughed at the idea of him being chosen as the hitter, since he is not the strongest batter on the team.  It really means, he will not be going out on the field tonight, except for batting!

Top of the second and # 34 heads back out to the mound as the boys take the field again.  The Falcon's first batter walks; the second hits and is safe on first but the runner is out at second; the third walks; the fourth hits a nice one in right field...and the bases are now loaded!  The fifth batter pops up and the infield fly rule applies and he's out; and the final batter strikes out.

Our boys are back up to bat and our first batter hits right towards the pitcher and he's out at first; the second hits to short and he's also out at first; the third walks and our DH is up to bat!  The runner on base decides to steal and the catcher was able to thrown him out.  Aaron will have to go back up in the next inning!
Here's our DH for tonight!
Number 34 is still on the mound for the top of the third and the Falcon's first batter hits towards the pitcher and is out at first; the second hits and is out at first; the third hits towards the pitcher and it also out at first!

Aaron is back up to bat for the bottom of the third and he strikes out after fouling one...Some designated hitter he is!  Our second batter strikes out; the third hits and is safe on first; the fourth hits and the short misses the ball, and 1 run is scored;  The fifth batter hits one in center field and it drops, and he's safe and the sixth batter hits but he's out at first.

Come on, hit that ball...
...and it's foul!!!
The innings are going by really fast now...it's already the top of the fourth!  The first two batters both strike out; the third is up to bat and the catcher's gloves fall off after a pitch and the batter gets a walk.  Apparently it's interference!  The fourth batter walks and the fifth hits but the runner is out at second.

Bottom of the fourth and our first batter hits a really nice one...a couple inches more and it would have been a home run, and he's safe on second; the second batter hits another nice one and he's safe on first; the third hits and he's out at first but a run is scored; the fourth hits and is safe on first and another run is scored; Aaron goes up and walks; the sixth batter also walks...and the bases are loaded!  Time is called and the Falcons change their pitcher.  The seventh batter strikes out; the eight batter hits and is safe and another run is scored; the ninth batter hits but it's caught, and the inning ended with Aaron going home!
Ball 4...take a walk!

He's on third now and getting some instructions from Coach Fil...
The Falcons are back up to try and get some runs in this fifth inning.  Their first batter pops up and it's caught; the second hits in right field and he's safe on first; the third strikes out and the runner on base is thrown out when he tries to steal second.

The Tigers are back at bat and hoping for some more runs now.  Our first batter hits a nice one and is safe on second; the second pops up and it's caught; the third hits and is safe on first; the fourth walks...and the bases are loaded; the fifth strikes out.  With the bases loaded and two already out, Aaron is up to bat!  OMG, he hits the very first pitch and it goes flying over the first baseman into the outfield, and he's safe on first...and two runs are scored!  Way to go DH, man I should have recorded that!!!  The seventh batter hits another nice one and he's safe and 2 more runs come in, including Aaron.  The eight batter walks and the ninth batter hits but he's out at first.  The boys just racked up another 4 runs (including Aaron's 2 RBI's and run)!
And it's outta here!
Scoring Run # 8 in this game!
Number 23 heads out to the mound for the top of the sixth and the Falcons are desperate to get at least 1 run in this game.  The first batter strikes out; the second hits and is safe on first; the third strikes out and the fourth and it's caught!

Bottom of the sixth and our first batter hits and is out at first; the second hits and is safe on first; the third hits but is out at first; the fourth hits and is safe on first...and 1 run is scored.  That's 10-0 for us...and the Umpire calls the game!
Way to Go, Tigers!!!
It's only 10:20 p.m. so we can go home early tonight...which works out great for me as I can go home and get started on Aaron's birthday cake!

Game 10...Tigers vs. Halton Hills, June 17, 2015

Well after a short break, I am getting my head back in the game...and I was hoping to walk the trail in the hour that the boys are practicing before the games start, but Andy decided he wanted to go to the Krispy Kreme donut shop nearby!
Tonight the Tigers face off with the Halton Hills Eagles at our home field in Mississauga. The game began right at 8:30 p.m. Aaron remained in the dugout as the Tigers took the field, with # 19 on the mound. The first inning was very short for the Eagles with their first batter hitting but out at first; the second gets hit with a pitch and walk; the third pops up and is caught and the final batter hits but is also out at first.
It was 3 up 3 down for the Tigers as our first and third batters strikes out and the second hits but is out at first.
Number 19 heads back to the mound as the Eagles go back up to bat. The first batter hits a nice once, right through out third baseman’s gloves and he’s safe on first; the second batter gets hit with a pitch and walks; the third batter strikes out; the fourth batter fouls a few before striking out and the final batter strikes out.
Our boys are back up to bat for the bottom of the second. Our first batter hits and is safe on first; the second hits and is also safe; the third gets hit with a pitch and walks…and the bases are loaded! The fourth batter walks, and the first run in this game is scored! The fifth batter hits and is safe…and another run is scored. The sixth batter hits and is safe on first, but the runner is thrown out at home. The seventh batter hits and is safe, and another run is scored. The eight batter hits but is out at first but another run is scored. The ninth batter hits a nice one, and brings in 2 more runs. The tenth and final batter in this inning hits but it’s caught. The Tigers scored a total of 6 runs in this inning.
Top of the third was another quick one. The first batter hits but is out at first and the next both strike out.
The Tigers are up to bat again and the first batter hits and is safe on first; the second batter strikes out; the third hits and is out at first…but 1 run is scored; and the fourth batter strikes out to end the inning.
Top of the fourth and the Eagles’ first batter hits and is safe on first; the second walks; the third hits and is safe on first but the runner is out at second. The fourth batter is up to bat and the runner tries to steal second and is thrown out and then the batter strikes out…ending the inning with still no runs for the Eagles!
The Eagles sends in a new pitcher for the bottom of the fourth. Our first batter hits and is safe on first; the second walks; the third hits and 1 run is scored; the fourth hits and it’s caught in center field…but a run is scored; the fifth batter hits and it’s caught in left field…but another run is scored and the final batter hits and its caught. That’s 3 more runs for the Tigers for a total of 10.
Top of the fifth and Aaron finally emerges from the dugout…taking his position on the mound. The first batter walks on a full count; the second hits and is out at first; the third hits and our third baseman misses the ball again and the batter is safe on first; the fourth batter gets hit with a pitch and walks; the fifth batter hits and is out at first and the sixth batter strikes out. Still no runs for the Eagles!
The Tigers are back up to bat and it was a short inning as our first two batters strike out and the third hits and is out at first.
I am not sure why the game hasn’t ended as the Tigers have a 10-0 lead and it was already the fifth inning!
Aaron heads out to the mound again for the top of the sixth. The first batter strikes out; the second hits one over Aaron’s head is safe on first; the third hits but is out at first and the fourth hits right towards Aaron and is out at first.
Bottom of the sixth and our first and second batters both strike out and Aaron is up to bat…this is the first time he is batting in this game! He ends up walking and quickly steals second. The fourth batter gets hit with a pitch and walks; the fifth pops up in field…and the Eagles miss the catch. The base are loaded now and the sixth batter walks, bring home Aaron…to score run # 11, and ending the game!
Way to go Tigers...donuts for everyone to celebrate!!!

Game 7...Tigers 1 vs. Tigers 2 - May 26, 2015

I knew Aaron wasn't going to be pitching tonight and we had to be on the field for 5:00 p.m., so I opted to go home and do some packing for our upcoming trip this weekend, since I couldn't make it in time!
The Tigers took on the Tigers # 2 team at Fallingbrook Park, in Mississauga. According to Andy the game started at 6:00 p.m. and ended in mercy as the score was 16-0 for us. He said Aaron covered second base for the first 4 innings and sat our the last...and he hit a triple!
I have to take his and Aaron's word since there were no photos...and he had the camera!!!

Brampton Tournament - May 22 - 24, 2015

Here we are again at Flower City Community Centre in Brampton, Ontario for the start of this weekend's tournament. We were here with Aaron and the Rexdale Renegades back in 2013 for a tournament during the Father's Day weekend. The Renegades didn't win the tournament but we had a lot of memories back then!
As we got to the field Newmarket and Kitchener were finishing up their first game. Aaron is still limping from Wednesday night's injury in Waterdown but our Coach bandaged his knee to make it more comfortable for him to move around. He will not be pitching tonight but he will be on the field.
Game 1 - Tigers vs. Barrie Red Sox
For our first game the Tigers are facing the Red Sox for a 8:30 p.m. game. The Umpires arrive at 8:35 p.m. and it's already freezing cold...I am wearing 2 sweaters and wrapped in 2 blankets, and still feel cold!!!
I believe there is a coin toss to decided who bats and who takes the field. We got to bat first and the game is about to start when the Umpire calls for the lights to be turned on, but they can't find the attendant...so the game is delayed!
The lights are finally turned on around 9:00 p.m., while we all waited in the cold...someone at the City's office fell asleep!
Game finally begins and our first batter walks; the next three all strike out...leaving the runner on third!
Bottom of the first and the Tigers take the field with # 19 on the mound. Aaron remains in the dugout. The Sox's first batter walks; the second hits and it's caught in right field; the third strikes out; the fourth hits and is safe on first and then the fifth strikes out.
Tigers are back up to bat and our first batter hits and is safe on first; the second bunts and is out at first; the third strikes out on a full count and the fourth hits and is out at first. The run coming home doesn't count!
Number 19 is back on the mound for the bottom of the second and Aaron is still on the bench. The first batter pops up and it drops...and he's safe on first. The lights are so bright that I guess it is hard for the boys to see the ball in the air! The second batter walks; the third hits and short couldn't get the ball in time to get the out...and the bases are now loaded! The fourth batter hits and is out at first, but 1 run is scored. The fifth batter pops up and it's caught; the sixth batter is hit with a pitch and walks...and the bases are loaded again! The seventh batter strikes out.
Top of the third and our first and second batters both strike out and the third has a nice hit but is out at first! Did I mention that it is COLD? So cold that I had to borrow some gloves from Andy and I put away my camera...whoever wants photos is welcome to borrow my camera!!!
The Tigers head back out on the field in the same positions. The first batter walks; the second hits in the outfield and is safe; the third hits and is safe, but the runner is out at third. The fourth batter is up to bat and the runner on base is thrown out at third, and then the batter strikes out.
The top of the fourth was quick with our first batter hitting but out at first; the second strikes out and the third hits and is out at second!

Bottom of the 4th and # 19 is still on the mound. The Sox's first batter walks; the second hits and is safe on first, but the runner is out at second; the third hits and the runner is out at second but it's too late to get the double play; the fourth hits and is safe on first and the fifth batter strikes out.

Top of the fifth and the Sox send back the same pitcher. Our first batter strikes out; the second hits but is out at first; the third has a nice hit and is safe on first; and then the fourth batter strikes out!

The Tigers take the field again for the bottom of the fifth. The first batter hits and it's a nice catch in center-field; the second strikes out and the third hits but is out at first.

We're in the sixth inning and they are still using the same pitcher. This kid is not giving us a chance to score any runs! Our first batter hits and is safe on first...and he is switched (I am not sure why); the second pops up and it's caught; the third has a nice hit and 1 run is finally scored for us! The next batter hits and is safe on third! The fifth batter pops up in the infield...and they drop the catch! Time is called and the Sox changed their pitcher as he is maxed out. It's 10:45 p.m. and half of the lights on the field went out. The game continues while they try to figure out the lighting. The sixth batter is up and all the lights are out!

We were in complete darkness for a short time, unable to continue the game before they announced that the game will be continued tomorrow as the City of Brampton refused to turn back on the lights!!!

This game will have to be continued from exactly where it ended...with everyone in the same positions!!! NOT fair...we stood a better chance of winning this tonight than we would when the game continues, but anything can happen in a tournament!

Game 2 - Tigers vs. Whitby Chiefs

We're back on the field this afternoon for Game 2 against the Chiefs. These are not the same Chiefs the boys faced over the Mother's Day weekend. Although it's a very nice day, the wind is a bit heavy this afternoon.

The game started right at 1:30 p.m. with Aaron on the mound. The first batter hits and it's caught; the second walks; the next two both hit but are out at first. Nice!!!

Bottom of the first and our first batter walks; the second has a nice hit and is safe on first; the third is up when our runner on base distracts the defence and manages to score a run. The batter hits and is safe on first, and another run is scored. Aaron goes up and strikes out after fouling a couple...and thank God too, as he won't have to run with that injury. The fifth batter hits and is safe on first, and another run is scored; the sixth batter walks; the seventh hits...and the bases are loaded. The eight batter hits and another run is scored...and the bases are still loaded. The ninth batter hits but it is caught to end the inning. There was another out somewhere in the inning but I guess I missed it! Four runs for the Tigers.

Aaron is back on the mound as the Tigers take the field for the second inning. The first batter walks; the second hits and our second baseman misses the ball and the batter is safe on first; the third hits and the defence couldn't get the ball in time to stop the run from being scored! The fourth batter strikes out. Another run is scored on a wild pitch because our catcher can't get the ball in time! The fifth batter hits and should have been out but I don't know what happened to the defence, and another run is scored. The sixth batter hits and is safe...again the defence can't get the ball! The seventh batter has a nice hit in center field but our defence drops the catch, and another run is scored! Holy crap, what is going on today...I feel like going out on the field and smacking every one of them! The eight batter hits and is safe on first but the runner is out at second and another run is scored. The ninth batter hits and the runner is out at second, to end the inning. Five runs for the Chiefs!
The things you miss with the average eye!

The Tigers are back up to bat and our first and second batters both hit and are out at first; the third hits and is safe on first and the fourth hits and it's caught!

Aaron is still upset but he's back on the mound for the top of the third. The first and second batters both hit and are out at first; the third batter hits and our first baseman misses the ball...here we go again! The fourth batter hits and is safe; the fifth batter hits in left field and our defence miss the catch and 2 runs are scored! The sixth batter hits and Aaron manages to get the ball in time to get the out at first, to end the inning. The Chiefs racked up another 2 runs in this inning. We did notice that the Umpire is not consistent in his calls, but our defence are not in the game either!
Sometimes when you want something done...you just have to do it yourself!

Bottom of the third and Aaron is up to bat. He is using the new bat that Andy just picked up this morning from National Sports. He goes up and pops one in center field, and it's caught! Our next two batter both hit and are caught!

Top of the fourth and the Chiefs' first batter hits right through our short and is safe on first; the second and Aaron is able to get the ball and get the out at first; the third hits right through our short, again! The fourth batter hits in center field and our defence cannot get the catch or get the ball back in time to stop the 2 runs from being scored. The fifth batter hits in left field and our defence can't catch it and another run is scored. Time is called as Aaron's pitch count is already at 75 and he is switched with # 23. The sixth batter hits and again our player in left field can't make the catch and another run is scored. The seventh batter strikes out and the eight batter hits and someone caught it. Four more runs for the Chiefs in this inning!

The bottom of the fourth ended very fast with our first batter striking out; the second hits and it's caught and the third also strikes out.

MORE HIGHLIGHTS TO FOLLOW SOON!!!

Game 6...Tigers vs. Waterdown - May 21, 2015

Tonight we travelled to Joe Sam Park in Waterdown, Ontario as the boys take on the Waterdown Wolves.  We had to be on the field for 6:30 p.m. so we had to deal with rush hour traffic.  Now I understand how snails move!  We managed to make it to the field in time, in 22 degree weather...but the park was cold!

The field has a weird drop at the back of the outfield.  I would feel sorry for either team if someone hits it out there!

As the Tigers are the away team, we get to bat first.  Our first batter walks; the second hits and is safe on first...but the runner is out at second.  The third batter is up but the runner tries to steal second and is thrown out, and then the batter strikes out. Not a good start!

Number 1 takes the mound and Aaron is on second as the Tigers take the field.  The Wolves' first batter hits in center field, and it drops, so the batter is safe; the second batter strikes out; the third walks on a full count; the fourth strikes out; the fifth hits just behind second...and 2 runs are scored!  The final batter strikes out.

Top of the second and Aaron strikes out; the second batter pops up and it's caught; the third walks and the fourth hits a foul and the Wolves' first basemen makes a nice dive and caught it!

As the Tigers head out to the field, I realize that Aaron remains in the dugout.  I wasn't sure if he was going to pitch tonight.  The first batter strikes out; the second hits one right through out short and is safe on first; the third hits and is safe on first; the fourth hits and is safe, but the runner going home is out and the final batter hits in center field and it's caught.

The Tigers are back up to bat and our first batter strikes out; the second walks; the third strikes out; the fourth is up to bat when the runner on first tries to steal second...and it's a rundown to get him out, and in the meantime the runner on third manages to steal home (before they tag out the runner from first), so the run counts!  Wow, you really need to pay attention in these games!

Bottom of the third and the Wolves' first batter hits one in the right field and is safe; the second hits a foul and it's caught at first; the third hits but is out at first and the fourth pops up and it's caught.

The Wolves sends in a new pitcher for the top of the fourth.  Our first batter gets hit with a pitch and walks and the second strikes out.  Aaron is up to bat and we noticed that he is limping.  Time is called and our Coach goes and talks to him and then he is switched with # 34.  I know he looked like he scraped his knees when he tried to get the out while on second but I didn't realize that it was a bad one, until I went over to the dugout to have a look...and a pretty nasty looking bruise too.  He's out of the game now!  The batter replacing Aaron is out but I missed the details.  The fifth batter hits and 1 run is scored; the sixth hits and is out at first.  The game is tied now.

I had to take a call from my dad so I missed most of the game from here but when I returned to the field, the score was 6-2 in our favour and it was the top of the sixth and one already out and one on base!  The next batter is hit with a pitch and walks; the next hits and is safe but the runner going home is out and the final batter hits and it's caught.

Bottom of the sixth and # 13 is pitching for us.  The first batter walks, the second strikes out...and the runner is tagged out at third; and then the final batter strikes out.

Top of the seventh and final inning for us.  Our first batter hits a nice one and is safe on second; the second hits and is safe on first; the third strikes out; the fourth hits and is safe on first...and one run is scored and another one is stolen.  The fifth batter is up to bat and another run is scored on a wild pitch.  The batter ends up walking.  The sixth batter also walks and 1 run is scored on an overthrow to first.  The seventh batter strikes out and I don't remember how the third out happened.  The Tigers racked up another 4 runs in this inning!

The score is 10-2, for us, and it's the last chance for the Wolves to change this!  The first batter hits and it's caught; the second walks; the third hits and is out at first; the fourth hits and 1 run is scored; the fifth hits and is safe on second; the sixth hits and 2 more runs come in; the seventh hits and is safe and the final batter in this game hits but is out at first!

Final score 10-5, for us.  Way to go Tigers.

I wasn't able to get photos tonight because of the distractions and it being very cold!!!
